Navajo Tacos

Most people are familiar with Navajo Tacos from eating them at a county fair or an amusement park.  Navajo Tacos are very easy to make, here is how you make them.

  1. Buy french bread dough from your local supermarket.
  2. Brown hamburger with taco seasoning for the meat.
  3. Fill a skillet with 2 inches deep of vegetable oil and turn on medium heat
  4. Break off a section of the french bread dough and roll it flat
  5. Put a small piece of french bread dough in the pan to see when the temperature is right (you will notice it start to brown)
  6. Put the flat french bread dough piece in the frying pan.  Let it brown on the bottom and then turn over.  If you get big pockets of air, stick a knife in it to deflate.  Sometimes it works better to press the dough down into the pan to make sure it gets maximum cooking oil.
  7. Get your toppings prepared - we typically use cheese, tomatoes, lettuces, and salsa.
  8. Put meat on navajo taco, then toppings.
  9. Enjoy!

Chicken Parmigiana

This is a recipe that they have at Olive Garden, it tastes delicious.

Here is how you make it.

  1. Thaw your chicken breasts
  2. Use the flat side of a tenderizer to flatten the chicken breast
  3. Crack 2 eggs and mix in bowl
  4. Make your breading mixture - 1 cup of bread crumbs, 1/4 cup of flour, 1/2 cup of panko bread crumbs, 1 tbsp of italian seasoning.
  5. Heat frying pan with around 2 tbsp of olive oil on medium to medium high heat
  6. Cover chicken breast in egg mix
  7. Put chicken breast on breading mixture and cover both sides
  8. Put chicken breast in the pan. Brown the bottom and then turn to low heat.
  9. Turn heat back on medium, take breast out of pan with spatula, add another tbsp of olive oil. Repeat browning on medium heat and then turn to low to cook. It's ok for there to be some pink in the middle since they cook the rest of the way through in the oven.
  10. Put chicken breast in baking pan and then cook all other chicken breasts.
  11. Cover top of chicken breast with spaghetti sauce
  12. Heat oven to 350 degrees and put chicken breasts in oven for 20 minutes.
  13. Put a slice of mozzarella cheese on each chicken breast, cook another 5 minutes.
  14. Take out of oven and enjoy!

We usually make spaghetti noodles with this as well. It's a very delicious meal!

Delicious Ribs!

These ribs are a yummy family dinner. The reason these ribs are so delicious is because you slow cook them in the oven in a sealed roasting pan, which basically means the ribs are steamed, in a sense.

Preparation:
- Buy 1 package of baby back pork ribs

Cooking:
- Rinse ribs in water
- Sprinkle ribs bbq seasoning over all of the ribs.
- Put ribs in roasting pan (I like to put tin foil in the bottom to make it easier to clean)
- Cover the top of the roasting pan with tin foil - you want it to be sealed tight, this is what makes the ribs tender
- Put roasting pan cover on
- Put ribs in oven at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for 3-4 hours. You want the meat to be pulling back from the rib bones.
- Take ribs out and cook on barbecue grill for about 5 mins per side on low heat setting. Put bbq sauce on both sides. Purpose of this step is to seal the bbq sauce onto the ribs.
- Serve and enjoy!
